Ingebjørg Vilhelmsen is a Norwegian composer and cornet player specializing in test pieces and other major works for brass band, concert band, and orchestra.

Her commissions and performances include Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Manger Musikklag, Bjørsvik Brass, EBBA for the European Brass Band Championships, SBBF for the National Swedish Brass Band Championships, and Kistefos Art Museum. 

Highlights from her brass band catalogue include "The Cosmographic Mystery" (Norwegian National Championships 2023), "The Island of Doctor Moreau"  (commissioned by Manger Musikklag, 2024), and "Embracing Duality" (EBBA commission, 2025 European Brass Band Championships).

Ingebjørg has a master's degree in musicology from the University of Oslo, focusing on composition of test pieces for brass band. She also studied music at Goldsmiths (University of London), as well as composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She also plays principal cornet with Oslofjord Brass, one of Norway's leading brass bands.
